Creative writing is as much "creative" as it is "writing". For some students who have signed up for a creative writing class on their own accord, being creative might be something they enjoy or that comes natural to them. On the other hand, there are the students who just need the credit, the ones who mutter, "I don't know how to start," or "I'm not creative." These games are excellent creativity and confidence boosters!

The goal is to remember that creativity isn't a contest. It isn't about who is the "most" creative or who comes up with the most intriguing, interesting idea. Creativity is, at its core, is really just bringing about ideas that weren't there before. We are creative all the time, every day, and this is a great way to demonstrate that!
